Our Beavers meet at our Scout Hall on Fridays from 6:15 pm to 7:15 pm. We are currently looking for more Beavers so please get in touch today!
The Beaver Colony begins at the age of 6 until the age of 8, with around 6 months of flexibility on either side of the age ranges. Beavers meet together as a Colony but then work in smaller groups called ‘Lodges’. A team of adult volunteers called Leaders will run the activities for the Beavers and link with parents/guardians to ensure that all of our young people have a fantastic time as Beavers.
Beavers take part in a wide range of different activities in the Beaver programme, which is a mix of indoor and outdoor activities. These include making things, singing, playing games, going on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories and more. The programme is planned and run by adult volunteers in partnership with young People.
Within the programme is a set of Activity Badges that help Beavers work towards achieving Challenge Badges and ultimately the top award for Beavers, the Chief Scout Bronze Award. This is a fantastic achievement for any of our young people.
